Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)

Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) is particularly helpful with self-criticism, shame, or feelings of not being “good enough.” It focuses on developing compassion, for yourself and others, as a way to support emotional healing and build inner strength.

CFT recognises that our brains are hardwired for survival, not happiness. By understanding how your emotional mind works and learning to activate your inner compassion, CFT helps you feel safer, calmer, and more connected.

CFT can be especially helpful for people who:

  •    Experience high levels of shame or self-criticism
  •    Struggle with depression or anxiety
  •    Have experienced trauma or neglect
  •    Find it hard to be kind to themselves or trust others
  •    Feel overwhelmed by stress or emotional pain
  •    Live with chronic health issues or persistent pain
  •    Using mindfulness, imagery, and compassionate practices, CFT helps you respond to your struggles in a new way, not with judgment or           avoidance, but with courage, warmth, and understanding.
